We recently sat down with ‘Walker’ (as he is affectionately known at Citra), Vice President of Client Success, and asked him a few questions. Here's what he had to say...
How long have you been at Citra?
I have been with Citra (previously IntelliCare and Sirona Health) for a total of 18 years.
How did you come to your career in healthcare?
I started in healthcare right out of college, initially with a physician practice management consulting group (Professional Management Services) where I served for 5 years. After that, I spent the next 5 years in public accounting healthcare consulting (Ernst & Young) and then went on to work for 14 years in revenue cycle management (Medical Management of New England/Medaphis). For 18 years and counting, my home is here, with Citra, where I enjoy a family-like bond with my co-workers, all of whom share the passion of delivering on client expectations, our clients’ patients and members have the care they deserve.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I enjoy the variety. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities and I get the opportunity to work with a great team of dedicated professionals.
Tell us about your family. My wife, Mary, is a real-estate agent and we have two adult sons. Taylor is an action sports cinematographer and Registered Maine Guide and Nathaniel is a former Marine, gunsmith, and service dog trainer.
What are your hobbies? Hiking, Fishing, Camping, Sailing, Biking, Skiing, Snowshoeing, Target Shooting
What is something about you that would surprise people? I am quite the handyman and enjoy woodworking, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical projects.
