Citra Health has garnered another accolade after being named to the 2017 50 Best Companies to Watch by The Silicon Review (http://thesiliconreview.com/magazines/innovating-healthcare-to-deliver-value-based-technology-and-services-citra-health-solutions-/), the world's most trusted online and print community for business technology professionals. Featured in the August 1st issue, Citra is the only healthcare-focused company to be included.
Howard Buff founded Citra Health, in 2012 after his son Matthew was diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Because of his over 20-year career in healthcare leadership, Mr. Buff was able to navigate the healthcare system to find the best care available. However, after seeing other families struggle to navigate the complex system, Buff launched Orange Health Solutions, stemming from the orange bracelets his family wore in support of his son’s battle with Leukemia. Orange Health’s journey began after providing services to Citra’s accountable care organization, ACO Health Partners, based in Jacksonville, Florida.
Citra later grew exponentially after acquiring EZ-CAP, a software provider with over 25 years of reliable history serving healthcare clients. Assisting providers, hospital systems, and payers with the transition to value-based care, Citra has formed strategic partnerships with Allscripts and McKesson. Citra’s product suite now includes data analytics, benchmarking, quality measures with predictive modeling, health benefit management, claims and capitation processing.
Still driven to make a difference in the lives of families who experience devastating diagnoses, Buff and his family have launched Momcology, a national peer support organization for parents of pediatric cancer patients. Learn more at momcology.org.
